Killarney, Ontario, Canada is an ideal home base for adventures and for exploring the wonders of nature - both land and water. The community is located in Rainbow Country of Northeastern Ontario.

Killarney, Ontario is situated south of the Killarney Provincial Park and east of Manitoulin Island. The small community rests on a peninsula at the entrance of the North Channel of Georgian Bay on Lake Huron. Just off shore is George Island and in the distance are the peaks of the La Cloche Mountains.

The community - at one time was home to the Anishnaabek First Nation people. At the time the village went by the name of "Shebahonaning" which translates into "safe passage."

The more popular parks, historic sites and hiking trails include Municpal Beach, Killarney Provincial Park and the Killarney East Lighthouse. Other adventures and sightseeing opportunities which require boat or kayak access include Indian Cove, Killarney West Lighthouse and George Island (hiking trail).

In town there is a waterfront walking path located at the end of Commissioner Street. The path is ideal for sightseeing and for acessing the Tar Vats and the Killarney East Lighthouse.
