Merritt BC Canada is a base camp for sledding in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. Snowmobilers from across Canada and the USA arrive in our beautiful backyard with snowmobiles in tow for an opportunity to explore any of our 85+ kilometres of trails. Some with cabins (warming huts) and most with staging areas.
Trails for snowmobiling in Merritt BC vary from groomed routes to open backcountry exploration. Just up the road from Merritt is the Coquihalla Highway. Here sledders access any of the many pull-out staging areas which are launching points into the snow laden backcountry. Specifc areas for sledding in the Nicola Valley include Stoyoma, Honeymoon Lakes, Hooshum Ridge and, near by, Thynne Mountain (Brookmere).
