A slogan around Merritt BC is, “A lake a day as long as you stay”. The question every canoeist or kayaker will have to answer is not when but which lake to go kayaking and canoeing in Merritt BC?
We are fortunate of our selection. There are easy access canoe and kayak locations in our region including Nicola Lake, Lundbom Lake and Stump Lake. Each have staging areas for launching a canoe or kayak. However, be aware Nicola Lake can get windy at times. Both canoe and kayak destination lakes are within easy driving distance from Merritt.
