Temiskaming Shores, Ontario, Canada is a year-round recreation destination located in the Wilderness Region of northeastern Ontario. The name "Temiskaming" dates back to the language of the Algonquin First Nation people meaning, "deep waters." The main communities of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario are New Liskeard, Haileybury and Temagami. Other smaller villages include Historic Cobalt, Latchford, Coleman, Earlton, Charlton and Lady Evelyn Lake.

In the winter months activities enjoyed in the region include xc skiing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling. The local sledding club maintains over 300+ kilometres of groomed snowmobiling trails. And... there are various designated nordic clubs for xc skiing including Temiskaming (18 kilometres of groomed and classic ski trails) and Elk Lake (15 kilometres of groomed trails).
