Snowboarding Terrain Parks in Canada
The majority of the snowboard hills in Canada are located on the mountains in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Many of the ski hills in Canada have dedicated sections of the mountain for snowboarders called terrain parks. These snowboard parks include snowboard features like pipes, drops, jumps, downhill and rails.
Canada Ski Hills
In total there are said to be over 200 ski hills in Canada. The snowboard destinations in Canada range in size, services and amenities. The smallest hills have minimum services and a select number of ski runs. However, it is imporatant to note that most Canada ski hills have, at least, a lodge and provide rentals and lessons as well.
Canadian Ski Resorts
The bigger ski hills provide snowboarding terrain parks, bowls and tree runs ideal for snowboarders. And then there are large mountain resort villages, designated townships, with every service possible under the sun. The larger mountain ski and snowboard villages enjoy services like accommodations, gift shops, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, ski shops, liquor store, entertainment, retail stores and attractions.
Snowboarding Trails
Each ski hill has a selection of shared runs for both sking and snowboarding. The ski runs are ranked in difficulty. They include green (easy), blue (intermediate) and black diamond (difficult) ski runs. All ski and snowboard trails are serviced by a network of chair lifts, gondolas, t-bars and tow ropes. Make sure you select the right trails based on your abilities because getting stuck is not a great way to spend your snowboarding vacation in Canada.
