Canada Hotels
Canada hotels tend to be larger, taller and bigger than motels. A hotel front desk attendant, in a lobby, generally welcomes and checks-in guests. Hotels are built up horizontally providing multiple floors lined with many rooms opening up to a common hallway accessed by an elevator or stairwell. Each hotel room, in most instances, includes beds, private bathroom, linens, TV and desk.
Canada Hotel Amenities
One of the biggest factors separating Canada hotels from Canada motels is the selection of additional services and amenities available. Some of the amenities a hotel accommodation may or may not provide includes a restaurant, spa, golf course, tours, guides, marina, conference facility, banquet rooms, gift shops, coffee shops, room service, car rentals, liquor store, pubs, swimming pools and workout rooms.
Canada Motels
Motels are smaller and built out vertically, consisting of usually 1 or 2 floors. Your host generally lives onsite in one of the units. Motel rooms vary greatly, from very basic to self contained with kitchen units and a private living area. Motel room doors open up to parking lots and outdoor common areas. Some motels may have attached restaurants and general stores. Motels are sometimes also referred to as motor courts or motor lodges. It is always wise to ask questions when contacting your Canada motel accommodation.
