Shelter Bay Provincial Park is a recreation and campground park situated on Upper Arrow Lake located south of the community of Revelstoke BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The park is a popular destination for people who enjoy camping, cycling, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing, horseback riding, swimming, boating, wind surfing and water skiing.

The day use area rests on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake and enjoys a sandy beach with a swimming area, picnic tables and pit toilets. The campground is small and each campsite includes picnic tables and firepits.

There is a paved boat launch in the park accessing the lake. A large trailer parking lot is available for parking. The boat launch in the park is a good jumping off point for boating, canoeing, water skiing, wind surfing and fishing. The fish in the lake include kokanee and rainbow trout.

Shelter Bay Provincial Park is conveniently located near the lake ferry which crosses Upper Arrow Lake connecting Shelter Bay with Galena Bay and the community of Nakusp, BC. The park campground is a good staging point before and after a ride on the ferry.

Blanket Creek Provincial Park is another campground and recreation destination located south of the community of Revelstoke and north of the the Shelter Bay Provincial Park. Trails in the area, available for further exploration, include the Begbie Creek Trail and the Mount MacPherson Trails.

How to Get to Shelter Bay Provincial Park:

Travel to the community of Revelstoke, BC. Located west of Revelstoke is Highway 23. Travel down Highway #23 for about 50 Kilometres to the entrance of the Shelter Bay Park.
