Clearbrook Park & Downes Bowl Trail is a recreation green space area with an activity trail located in the community of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada.
In the centre of the green space area is Downes Bowl... and surrounding the bowl are hills and wetland. The combination of terrain makes for easy and hilly trails within the parklands.
There are paved, dirt and boardwalk trails in the park. The easy going, level trails in the bowl and the steeper trails situated in the hills make the route popular with hikers, joggers and horseback riders because it is always changing. Some of the dirt trails are single track with exposed tree roots.
Throughout the parkland green space area there are sitting benches, day use picnic tables and shelter rest areas.
Being that the bowl is a wetland like destination, many explore the boardwalk sections in the bowl seeking birdwatching opportunities. Waterfowl and song birds visit the area.
There are many trails in the Clearbrook Park area. Many are loop trails connecting to other loop trails. Some are short off shoot trails connecting to community side roads while others are main trails like the Discovery and Downes Bowl Trails.
The Discovery Trail is a 30+ km recreation trail which explores the community of Abbotsford and connects to many parks. Clearbrook Park is part of a 5.5 kilometre section of the Discovery Trail.
