Sasquatch Mountain Resort is a Fraser Valley winter recreation destination located in the alpine backcountry mountains situated northwest of the Village of Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, Canada.
During the winter months, after the snow has fallen, the Hemlock Valley region is a popular destination located in the Fraser Valley for alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
The mountain ski destination, known as Sasquatch Mountain Resort includes 35 ski runs with a peak vertical drop of around 400 metres. The ski runs are serviced by 3 chair lifts and a handletow lift. Skiers and snowboarders have the option of skiing down a selection of green (easy), blue (moderate) and back diamond (challenging) ski runs.
Some of the green runs in the Hemlock Valley include the Ridgeline, Undercut, Slackline and Molly Hogan. Blue runs include the Timber Cruiser, Mainline, Pete's Road, J.J.'s, Roddy's and Bigfoot.
And the most challenging runs with the most interesting names are the black diamond runs like the Kitchen Wall, Christmas Trees, Crans Bowl, Heaven, Shred Zone, Red Dog and the Happy Hooker.
There is a terrain park for snowboarding as well. The terrain park is equipped with rails, jumps, staircases, jibs, drops, lifts and high banks. Many a tricks and skills can be learnt in the park.
There is also a tube park for tubing and another section of the hill is reserved for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. There is a lodge, lessons, rentals and practice trails for xc ski beginners.
Resort Services
The Sasquatch Mountain Resort ski mountain village includes services which are important for winter vacationers. Some of the services in the village include ski rentals, restaurants, pubs and accommodations.
On the hill at the base of the ski lifts are other services as well including a day lodge, rental shop, ATM, ski school. restrooms, information centre and first aid.
