Aspen Trails is a network of hiking and cross country ski trails located near the community of Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada.
The Aspen Trails includes loop trails and a one-way trail leading out to the lookout. The trails measure anywhere from 4 to 12 kilometres long and could take 40 to 190 minutes to complete depending on the routes explored and the fitness level of the group.
The Aspen Trails explore parts of the Sioux Narrows Provincial Park, around a beaver pond and through a boreal forest consisting of cedar, oak, pine and poplar trees.
The highlights of the Aspen Trails are the lookout, beautiful forest and possible wildlife sightings.
Aspen Trails is a mixture of easy going routes and challenging routes. Pick your routes carefully.
The lookout provides views overlooking Regina Bay on The Lake in the Woods. Near the lookout the trail gets challenging with rocky terrain and some steep sections. The trails exploring near the beaver pond are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
While hiking the trails keep your eyes and ears alert. Look in the trees and scan the water of the beaver pond for wildlife sightings. Wildlife sightings include beaver, fox, deer and various songbirds and waterfowl.
