Huron Natural Area offers hikers over 7 km of inter-connecting pathways and hiking trails. The family friendly and wheelchair accessible pathways allow all visitors to enjoy the marshlands, greenery, and wildlife in this Kitchener Ontario Park. It is a 45 minute road trip from Guelph Ontario.
Hiking Trails in Huron Natural Area
The more avid hiker can wander off the beaten path, onto one of the many easy to moderate inter-connecting trails which explore further into the park. The main pathways throughout Huron Natural Area are maintained throughout the year. The trails aren't maintained, but are still accessible to people wanting to hike during the Winter.
Huron Natural Area Pays Tribute to the Local Indigenous People
The City of Kitchener has endevoured to transform Huron Natural Area into a space that will continue to pay tribute to the
Indigenous People of Canada. While strolling the main pathways, visitors can view murals and plagues in honour of the Indigenous People. The little hikers can read stories that are scattered along the main pathway leading to the marshland.

Huron Natural Area provides a small picnic area, restrooms, and a natural playground for the
children, located at the entrance of the grounds. Entrance to Huron Natural Area and parking are free to all visitors.
