Merritt BC Lions Memorial Park features the "Wind Onion" an outdoor art sculpture that resembles a bulbous vegetable. Painted green & gold to match the colours of Merritt BC town flag. This art sculpture is a tribute to Heinz Lange, the creator who was a longtime Merritt resident. Addition to this is a walking bridge over the Nicola River that features a painted mural of Salmon by local artist Leonard A George. Who is currently painting "Medicine Eagle" art mural at Lions Memorial Park. Leonard is one of the many Indigenous artists who live and create in Nicola Valley BC Canada.
