Hike a Trail :There are provincial parks, green space and wilderness areas with hiking trails including the Esker Lakes Provincial Park, Mount Cheminis, Kinross Pond and the Kap Kig Iwan Provincial Park. Maps available in community.
Paddle In :There are long haul canoe and kayak routes and there are day paddles in the region exploring lakes and rivers including Larder River, Beaverhouse Lake, Misema River, Watabeag River and Englehart River. Maps available in community.
Historic Walks :Museums, monuments and mining tours (Toburn Headframe & Wright-Hargreaves Mine) all share the history of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada. Summer mining tours available.
Pack a Picnic :Load up the family, pack up some outdoor toys, a picnic and head out to a remote lake or visit one of the day use picnic sites in the region.
Wildlife Sightings : Whether on an adventure, touring or walking trails always keep an eye out for wildlife sightings including fox, moose, beaver and many various bird species.

Ski Mountain: Just across the border in Quebec, Canada is a developed ski and snowboard resort called Mount Kanasuta. Locally, there are a few ski runs and a snow boarding park at the Larder Lake Ski Club.
